Large card purchases

A few days ago I mentioned that there is a new collectibles shop in my hometown that sells sports cards.
The following is what I came home with.

This is not your ordinary Kenny Lofton.

This is a BIG Kenny Lofton!!

This and the Jaret Wright below are from the the

1998 Donruss Studio 8x10 portrait set.

There were 36 in all and were sold in packs of 1 with 7 regular sized cards included.

The 8x10's were exact copies of the smaller cards.I believe they sold for around $10.00.

The 8x10's were also paralleled by a gold foil edition limited to 300 sets.

These two are the only Tribe 8x10's and I would love to have the gold versions !!

Staying with the 8x10 format, we move back a year to 1997.

Zenith produced 24 different cards in this set.

This Chipper J. is the Dufex parallel version.

Albert Belle was the lone Triber in the set.

I am looking for him!!

Now we're downsizing a little for the next two cards.

These are 5x7's.

The regular size 1996 Hideo Nomo scrapbook set was inserted in series 2 packs.

The jumbo versions were inserted into in retail boxes.

The Albert Belle "Power Package" jumbo was also found in retail boxes in 1997.

I am also looking for the Manny Ramirez to go along with this. (hint, hint )

Down we go to 4 1/4 x 5 3/4.

What an odd size ! What was Topps thinking ?

These jumbo Bowman's Best refractors were inserted into 1995 retail boxes.

Looking for Albert Belle !!!

The 1993 Topps "Full Shot Supers" were a more common 3 1/2" x 5 "size.

Barry was #17 0f 21 total cards.

The photos used in this set were unique and not just enlargements of regular set cards.

Carlos Baerga would be the one I'm searching for in this set.

The 1994 Donruss 90's Dominator's were a series I and II insert
with the 3 1/2" x 5" jumbo inserted into hobby boxes.
This Kirby Puckett was # 01157/10,000.

One last oversize card for tonight.
1998 Topps Gallery
"Gallery of Champions"
Modeled after stained glass windows, these are really beautiful cards.
They were a 15 card insert set with the jumbo versions being 1 per hobby box.
Once again, the jumbo size was an oddball at 3 1/4" x 4 1/2 ".
