Dutch Card Guy Almost Did it to Me.

I've already admitted to being way behind on trade posts.

I just posted about a huge package from the Dutch Card Guy.

If I had waited until tonight, I would have had two packages in one post.

When I got home from work there was a small package on the counter. I suspected it was an ebay win I was waiting for.  Upon opening I thought, "I didn't buy these cards !". Then I saw the included note.

Jeroen had some Indian cards he needed to get rid of and thought of me. I love to receive Tribe cards.

Especially when there are some I need in my collection!

Let's start with a couple more minis.
Jason McDonald and Carlos Santana

Then, you can't go wrong with Slider !
or a Sparkly Lonnie Chisenhall.

Metal Universe was a strange set.
But it also had some very interesting card designs.

Bazooka was a set I liked also.
Especially the Albert Belle " Red Hot "

And finally !!!!

This great mini of
Michael Brantley !
#'d 121/199.

Thanks again Jeroen, for the great cards !!

Tribe Cards ala Dutch Treat

Yes, another "Lost Trade Package" post.

I only have three or four more.

But Jeroen, The Dutch Card Guy, always sends such great packages! I don't how or where but he always finds cards I need.

Like these.

All I had in 2013 Gypsy Queen was a Michael Brantley mini.
Jeroen also included the full-size Brantley.

These are actually all the Topps mini cards.
I had zero of these.

I have the Masterson and Bauer, but the rest are all new.

Then there's Documentary.
I am trying to complete the Indian set and I needed 4 out of 5 of these.
I only have one other gold card so that set is probably out of the equation.
I have a little over 27% of the regular set so maybe later tonight I'll
make up a want list.

I think this is a fun set.
I hope there are some other young kids interested.

Then there was some gold and sparkly cards.
These are always welcome. I'm not sure if I can complete these sets either,
but I am trying !

These last two photos show some of the other cards in the package.
There was a wide range of years and products.

All in all this was a terrific package.

Thanks Jeroen !

I have another pile started for you!

2013 Archive Hot Rack Pack

Well, it was at least warm !

There were no auto's or possible game-used.

But there was some pretty good names.

The only problem is that there were no Indians in the entire pack.
Of course, the last two days there haven't been any Indians on the field either!

This was, however, a HOF  hot pack.

This year's Archives set was not kind at all to Cleveland,
but there are some nice cards here if anyone is interested!

Lost Trade Package from My Own Card Shop

Yep, this one is from Dan and His Card Shop

Dan's package had a return address label with Christmas packages on it.

Would you believe......I just received it yesterday?

How about last month?

How about the middle of December,  sorry Dan !

Dan sent a little stack of 1992 Topps Indian cards.

Ooops !

Oh oh, well, maybe no one will notice.

I always liked these Topp Stars.
I like the player's  "glow".

This red-bordered Choo is also nice.

Any parallels are always welcome.

Serial #'d cards are welcome as well.
2002 Earl Snyder Sweet Beginnings  125/1300
2002 Carl Sadler Diamond Connection  1911/1999

This SPx was part of a rather complex set.
The forerunner of today's parallels.
Nice Alomar !  1095/9000

Plus a Jim Thome card

Oh, did I mention, the 1992 Topps cards are a mini team set !

When I said "small" stack I meant small stack !

There were a few other cards in the package .
One was shown in this post.
Did you see it !!??

Happy Birthday America !

Have a

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Lost Trade Packages - A Bizarre Sushi Coincedence

Look at that sign post up ahead.

            You are now entering

                           The Twilight Zone.

I sure thought I was when I got home from work and looked at my snail mail.

My last post, yesterday afternoon, explains the
Lost Trade Packages.

The oldest package I found was dated Nov 30, 2012 !

It was from Speigel83 at Nomo's Sushi Platter.

At the end of yesterday's post I indicated that  Speigel83's package would be showcased next.

So what was in the mail tonight ?

A PWE from Speigel83 ! And it had an eerie glow to it.

But first,  The Lost Trade Package.
Speigel83 sent a very nice package of 20-25 cards.

There was this great pair of Kevin Slowey.
Plain and sparkly editions.

Of course, a Jim Thome.

I think I like this card back better than the front.
It's like, " Come on kid, bring me one that isn't already cracked ".

I love this 1977 team card.

And judging from the back....

.....whoever owned this card had a complete Indian team set.

Rick Manning, the color guy for all the STO Indian games.

George hit 10 HR's in 14 days for the Tribe,
 in June of 1973

Born right here in Dayton, Ohio,
Chris was a very consistent hitter for the Tribe.

A little more up to date is this 2002 V-Mart Diamond King.

Finally, a pair of bronze parallels.
2009 Topps 206 Ryan Garko
2010 Topps 206 Asdrubal Cabrera

Then today in the PWE......

2010 Upper Deck Grady Sizemore

And the strange glow ?

My first Orange parallel !

I'd love to have the whole Indian team set
but I don't see that happening.

But if anyone has any more.......just sayin' .

Thanks so much to Mike at
Nomo's Sushi Platter !

The next Lost Trade Package is from

Dan Wilson, the collector, not the player !
