I'm back !!!

There is still a lot of sorting and cleaning up to do, but I'm finally up and running in my new "dugout" !

For those who may have missed it, I traded rooms with my wife.

I had an internet conductivity problem at first, it seems the Wi-Fi adapter we had on my wife's PC with XP, would not work with my Windows 7. A new Belkin N 150 solved the problem and now I'm ready to roll again.

I do have a lot of rearranging to do and there are boxes of "stuff " everywhere !

But in the long run, I will be much more organized and better able to serve all you bloggers out there so please be patient  with me, there are much better times ahead!

I will have some new pictures as thing progress.

                                    See ya' next time !

Trading My Sports Cards for Scrapbooks !

Did you ever put together a scrapbook ?

How about other crafty things like decorative pieces for around the house ?

I have a chance to trade all the stuff in my baseball room for a similar room full of scrap booking supplies and all sorts of craft making stuff !

And you know, I think I'm going to do it.

In fact, I actually started this afternoon.

Now before you all think I dove into the shallow end and hit my head, my wife and I are swapping.

No not partners, rooms. And not the contents, just the rooms.

My little "Man Cave" on the first floor is going to become her scrapbook/craft room and I'm moving upstairs to an open area at the top of the stairs. We have a 1 1/2 story cape cod style home that has two rooms up, with slanted ceilings on the front and back sides. One half is closed in, which is our son's bedroom. The other half is all open and leads to the stairs. I will actually have a little more space up there.

The move may cause a little down time for the blog, so don't worry if you down hear from me for awhile. We both have desktop pc's, mine being connected directly to the cable while hers works off of our wireless system. We are going to try to make the move in a manner to limit the down time for both of us, but we'll see how that goes !

Ultimately, it may be good for all of you as well, as I'll be able to get a lot of cards sorted and hopefully find some things for all you fellow and fellowette  bloggers! I definitely need to get rid of some cards !! Maybe I can even get some better want lists put together.

I do have some access at work and my computer here won't go down until it absolutely has to.

I am still planning to get some packages out next week, some long over due.

I will keep reading and keep in touch as much as possible.

See ya' next time !

Columbus Card Show Part 2

Here are a few more goodies from the Vet's show in Columbus last week-end.

Most of these are all 10 or 25 cent cards.

Toward the end one dealer sold me 50 cards for $4.00 !

This one was actually another $1 card. I already have at least 2 copies but I couldn't pass it up.
Produced by Stouffers, in 1995, and inserted into frozen French bread pizza, Feller is #4 0f 5.
When you pull the tab, the action shot in the top photo stands up.

My first Tribe card of "Swish" !
Single, double and triple last night, no HR though.

1920 World Series win and a Lofton card I had never seen before.

1996 Stadium Club Member's Only.

Another new Thome !

1996 Stadium Club Member's Only, Member's Choice.

Would love to have the Barega, Belle, Lofton and Thome to go with these!
Although, they are not in the "Finest" versions, like these above.

A pair of Marks.

Shiny !

More shiny !!

From the look on Bip's face, he's not too happy with Ozzie !

I have Thome from this set, but don't see other players too often.

There was also some newer stuff.
I picked a lot cards just because they were interesting.
( Come on !! You know I pick them up as trade bait to get more Tribe cards !!)

These are for my sample collection.

Also grabbed a stack of Fleer Star Stickers.

And some Charter Member Stadium Clubs.

Pictures of pitchers !

Minis !!

Duane found three or four of these before I got to that table, bought them and graciously handed them to me !

Thanks!!

Couple more .

Not minis !

I could go on...and on....and on.....

but I'll stop here for now.

Gotta' start getting ready for the move !

See ya' next time !

Meeting of the bloggers in Columbus,Ohio

Yeah, I know I haven't been around much lately. Lot of things going on right now and I'm moving !

Not to worry, my address will remain the same.

Confused ?

Me too !  More on the move later.

I did make it to the show at the Veteran's in Columbus, Ohio though.

I was making my way down a row of tables with my son and I looked up and a guy was standing next to me. He started to ask something, but in mid sentence, he looked at my shirt said "I guess you are !!"

Here, it was Duane from the blog Democratic Roadkill !

My shirt does does kind of give it away.
I got it at a small shop in Cooperstown.
Couldn't pass it up !

Duane and I had discussed meeting at  a show in Mansfield ,Ohio a couple weeks ago but I couldn't make it. He did hook up with Steve (aka NY Hitman 23 ) from Sports and More and checked out the Mansfield show. Unfortunately, I guess the show was kind of a bust !

I have met up with two other bloggers in the past. Harold, from the ex-blog Bluegrass Smoke Signals, and I met at a Columbus Clippers game, and David from Indians Baseball Cards, and I met at a Cleveland Indians game.

Someday we need to have a convention !!

The Columbus show was the best I have been to in a long time. I haven't seen so much vintage since the Nationals was in Cleveland ! It will be back next year. Maybe some of us can meet there !?

The above cards all came from the Columbus show and each one was a dollar or less !

Would you pay 25 cents for an old Beckett ?

What if it was still sealed in a plastic bag ?

Look close at the top, left corner.

This was the "free card" inside !

Now I wish I had bought a few more.

I have plenty more to write about and a lot more cards to show, but it's getting late tonight.

See ya' next time !
